Barry Seabranch, Manager of Industrial Services, Houston Division
Mr. Seabranch has twenty-seven years of experience working with liquid terminal facilities, including health and safety issues, tank cleaning and drumming operations. For the past ten years, he has served as the Owner / President of Tankco Services of Texas, Inc. The Tankco team has cleaned approximately 250 tanks per year, of varying capacities, ranging from as little as a few hundred gallons to 300,000 barrels. Mr. Seabranch has managed these projects which have dealt with a broad array of chemicals, from flammable products such as Propylene Oxide to Aniline Oil, which is highly poisonous. In 2003, Mr. Seabranch started Vapor Combustion Technologies to provide a valuable service to Tankco customers that were required to control vapors in order to comply with the environmental laws of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). Tankco has provided vapor recovery services on approximately fifty tanks per year.
David Pirkl, General Manager of Industrial Services, Houston Division
Mr. Pirkl has twenty years of experience working with liquid terminal facilities, including drumming operations; chemical blending; sampling and quality control; hazardous material handling and transportation and land / marine spills. Mr. Pirkl served as a member of a local, liquid terminal facility's Emergency Response Team and also held the position of Gulf Coast Marine Traffic Controller, who was in charge of scheduling for up to 600 marine vessels' loading / unloading each year. Mr. Pirkl joined the Tankco team in 2000 as their Operations Manager and was later promoted to General Manager.
George Torres, Industrial Services Operations Manager, Houston Division
Mr. Torres has twenty-three years of experience working with liquid terminal facilities, including the daily monitoring of specialized systems that require continuous chilling; circulation or heating; performing physical gauging of tanks; hazardous material handling; land / marine spills; securing pipes' line systems following transfers; and sampling and quality control. Mr. Torres has also been involved in the performance and management of numerous in-plant services, such as tank cleaning, line cleaning, and degassing activities.
Wes Sears, Safety Manager
Mr. Sears has seventeen years of experience in environmental and industrial services. He joined Tankco in 2005 and has been involved in the planning and logistics of numerous tank cleaning, vacuum service, hazardous waste removal and vapor recovery projects. Mr. Sears has served on the safety committee of a local manufacturing facility; is a member of the Deer Park Hurricane Emergency Action Team (HEAT) and is a firefighter for the Deer Park Volunteer Fire Department. As Safety Manager, he is responsible for the daily training, planning, reporting and enforcement of all safety procedures. Mr. Sears is a Certified Occupational Safety Specialist.
Steve Ohm, Account Manager
Mr. Ohm has over thirty years of experience working in the environmental, industrial, and safety fields. He has worked in a sales capacity for the last six years. In addition, Mr. Ohm owned and operated an asbestos abatement service company, and he has a wealth of knowledge and experience in safety management. He attended Wharton College and the University of Houston. As an Account Manager, Mr. Ohm oversees existing clients and pursues new accounts.
Albert Ulloa, Project Manager
Mr. Ulloa has over twenty years of experience performing industrial services in liquid terminal facilities and chemical manufacturing facilities. He has performed many tank, vessel and pipeline cleanings, as well as handling hazardous and non-hazardous materials during emergency response to land and marine releases. As a Project Manager, Mr. Ulloa oversees day-to-day planning, logistics and operations of special projects.
Victor Robledo, Superintendent
Mr. Robledo has over fifteen years of experience working in liquid terminal facilities. In 1997, Mr. Robledo joined Tankco as a Supervisor, performing tank, vessel and pipeline cleanings, as well as emergency response to hazardous and non-hazardous materials. As a Superintendent, Mr. Robledo oversees field operations for jobs occurring at multiple facilities that require specialty chemical cleaning, hazardous waste recovery, vacuum truck transfers and vapor recovery.
Bobby Burnham, Superintendent
Mr. Burnham has over thirty-two years of experience working for a chemical storage facility. He has extensive experience supervising tank and line cleanings, hose testing pipeline hydro static testing, pipeline nominations for land and marine product movements, and upgrade modifications to improve operational efficiency. As a Superintendent, Mr. Burnham oversees field operations for jobs occurring at multiple facilities that require specialty chemical cleaning, hazardous waste recovery, vacuum truck transfers and vapor recovery.
John Gwin, DOT / Maintenance Manager, Houston Division
Mr. Gwin has 21 years in production and industrial experience which includes planning, logistics and operations of special projects such as centrifuging, hydro blasting and field operations for jobs occurring at multiple facilities requiring specialty cleaning, hazardous waste recovery, vacuum truck transfers and vapor recovery. Mr. Gwin holds a certification in US DOT Motor Carrier Safety Compliance issued by the US Department of Transportation.
Heather J. Makarczyk, Environmental Manager
Ms. Makarczyk has over fifteen years of experience in developing and directing health, safety, and environmental programs primarily in the chemical sector. She has created and implemented numerous air, water, and waste programs to insure regulatory compliance. Throughout her career, Ms. Makarczyk has demonstrated a strong ability to meet compliance objectives for EPA, OSHA, DOT, and TCEQ. She also has served as a member of the facility emergency response team for three local terminal facilities.
